Late Adeleke’s wife, Aregbesola’s aides among Osun commissioner nominees

Adenike Adeleke, wife of the late Senator Isiaka Adeleke, former Osun State governor, is one of the two ladies named commissioner nominees for the state.

The incumbent governor Ademola Adeleke is a younger brother to Isiaka.

The commissioner nominees list was released on Friday by the State House of Assembly.

Kolapo Alimi and Olabiyi Odunlade, who are former aides of ex-Osun State Governor, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, also made the list.

Governor Adele sent the list to the lawmakers for screening and confirmation.

While Alimi (Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs) had defected to the PDP, Odunlade (Youths and Sports) claims he still a member of the APC.

A statement issued by Tiamiyu Olamide, spokesperson for Osun Assembly Speaker, said the list was read by the Speaker, Adewale Egbedun, at plenary.

A former Osun State PDP Chairman, Ganiyu Olaoluwa, also made the list.

Other names on the list are Mayowa Anjorin, Oladosu Babatunde, Bayo Ogungbangbe, Sesan Oyedele, Soji Ajeigbe, Moshood Olagunju, Hon. George Alabi, Sunday Oroniyi, Abiodun Bankole, Dr. Basiru Salami, Morufu Ayofe and Sola Ogungbile.

Also on the list are Rev. Bunmi Jenyo, Mrs Ayo Awolowo, Wole Jimi Bada, Dipo Eluwole, Rasheed Aderibigbe, Prof. Morufu Ademola Adeleke, Adeyemo Festus Ademola, Jola Akintola and Mr Tola Faseru.
