Laycon wins 2020 Big Brother Naija grand prize

It was an ecstatic moment on Sunday for Laycon, one of the 20 housemates that participated in the 2020 edition of Big Brother Naija, as he emerged the winner of the grand prize of the 70-day locked-in event.
Laycon was declared the winner of the reality TV show after beating four other top finalists with the highest number of votes from viewers.
Dorothy and Nengi were declared first and second runners-up respectively.
Five housemates that qualified as finalists last Sunday also included Vee and Neo.
Laycon won with 60 per cent of the votes; Dorathy came second with 21.85 per cent of the final day votes.
Nengi scored 15.03 per cent, while Neo had 1.94 per cent and Vee 1.18 per cent.
Apart from the grand prize of N85 million cash prize, he also won a two-bedroom apartment courtesy of Revolution Plus; a top of the range SUV from Nigerian automaker, Innoson Motors; a trip to Dublin from Guinness; and home appliances given by Scanfrost.
Others are a trip to Dubai packaged by Travelbeta; a year’s supply of Indomie noodles, Munch it, and Colgate toothpaste; a year’s supply of Pepsi; a branded chiller; a trip to watch the UEFA Champions League finale; and a brand new Oppo mobile smartphone.
This year, the reality show has beenn drama-filled, and has also produced ‘new celebrities’ who are well on their way to new beginnings.
According to Premium Times’ report, the evicted and disqualified housemates already boast a massive fan base and have bagged some endorsements already.

The show’s host, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, said that the grand winner emerged through a number of votes accrued to the housemate.
Olamilekan ‘Laycon’ Agbeleshe. Laycon had been a fan favourite from the beginning of the show and his fan base had only grown stronger.

The 26-year-old rapper had big names like Tunde Ednut, Reminince and a host of other stars rooting for him. Some of these stars are Yinka Ayefele; popular blogger, TundeEdnut; actors Nkechi Blessing, Lateef Adedimeji, Olaniyi “Sanyeri” Afonja, Ufuoma McDermott; comedian Broda Shaggy and entertainer, Lekanj KingKong among others. They all actively campaigned for him on their social media pages.
