Heal the World movement, an arm of Tola Olukilede International Ministries, has hosted several orphanages and destitute children across the country and shower them with gifts including scholarships.
This was done recently in partnership with the Lions Club at an event tagged ‘Homeday 2021’, according a statement by the organizers sent to Newstrends.
Olukilede, who is President of Heal the World Mission Inc, said the ministry had expended many millions of naira training and giving scholarships to children.
“We created Homeday as part of our activities prior to our convention, celebrating orphans for the past 20 years.
“What makes it exceptional today is that the Lions Club has partnered with us in coping with our numerous activities.
“We find out that the Lions Club has been noted for humanitarian gestures so I decided to approach them for a support and true to their type, they responded immediately and I am happy to be a member of the Lions Club and this month also is the clubs monthly activities.”
The statement also quoted Kate Obalim, zonal chairperson of the Ikeja Crystal, District 404B2, Lions Club Nigeria, as saying, “When the apostle joined and approached us, we agreed we are going to be part of the programme.”
She called for support of kindhearted Nigerians for the ministry.
A beneficiary of the event, Pastor Kemi Daniel of Destined Child Foundation, an arm of Christlight Schools, Agbado, said, “The ministry has been consistent and patient with us. They are wonderful and have been encouraging us through their numerous kind gestures.”
Pastor Emmanuel Atanda of Galilee Foundation, Ibadan, an orphanage home, said he was elated to be part of the ministry.
“We are happy to be part of this family; our orphanage hasn’t lacked anything under the umbrella of this great commission.”
Pastor Tola said the scholarships given out to various homes are from day one to the finish.
