The new president of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Yakubu Chonoko Maikyau, has been sworn in as the 31st president of the association.
Maikyau was sworn in at the close of activities for the 62nd Annual General Conference of the association held at Eko Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos on Friday.

He was sworn before a large number of lawyers by his predecessor, Mr Olumide Akpata.
The new president commended the former administration for the giant strides it recorded at the NBA in the last two years.
He made a commitment to not only sustain the laudable achievements and projects of the Akpata administration but to also build on it.
