Man allegedly kills in-law over N20 salt in Kano
Zakari Hamza, a 45-year-old man, is said to have been killed by Magaji Salisu, his wife’s brother, over N20 salt.
Ibrahim Zakari, the deceased man’s son, made the accusation, claiming it was the incident that killed his father.
Ibrahim claimed that the incident began when his father came home from the market and learned from his wife Sadiya Salisu that she had borrowed N20 worth of salt. This infuriated his father, who had earlier forewarned him against accepting any form of credit from anybody.
Ibrahim claimed that insults were exchanged during the fight between the deceased and his wife.
The son said his father went back to his shop and called his wife’s brother on phone telling him all that transpired at home between him and his wife.
