Man arrested for allegedly killing Lagos neighbour, son over dispute
Vincent Upkai, a resident of Lagos State, has been apprehended by the police for allegedly murdering his neighbor, Gloria, and her son following a dispute over sanitation.
The altercation reportedly escalated from a disagreement over cleaning duties into a violent confrontation.
Gloria, who lived with her son in the Elemoro area, was fatally attacked by Upkai, who was subsequently arrested by detectives from the Elemoro Police Station.

Lagos State Police Command spokesperson, Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed the incident and the arrest.
According to Hundeyin, the police received information about the murders on September 15, 2024, at approximately 10:50 pm. Upkai is accused of killing Gloria and her son and then placing their bodies in a large bag.
Hundeyin further detailed that detectives swiftly responded to the scene, apprehended Upkai, and recovered the bodies. The deceased have been taken to Epe General Hospital for preservation. The case continues to be investigated as the community grapples with the tragic incident.
