Man kills grandfather, uncle in Ibadan

A middle-aged man has allegedly murdered his grandfather and uncle in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital.

The suspect simply identified as Ahmed was said to have committed the heinous act in Apete, a suburb of Ibadan, in Ido local government area of the state.

Locals were said to have reported Ahmed to Apete Divisional Police Headquarters shortly after the incident around 6 pm on Sunday.

It was gathered that the victims reside in the same place with the suspect.

Public Relations Officer of the state Police Command, Adewale Osifeso confirmed the incident.

Osifeso in a short statement made available to newsmen on Monday morning said that investigation had commenced on the matter.

He said, “The command has indeed received the complaint of a male suspect who allegedly killed his grandfather and his uncle.

“Investigation has commenced to unravel the circumstances behind the incident. Updates concerning the case would be provided accordingly, please”.
