Man kills wife, injures policeman in Ebonyi
ABAKALIKI – A man, Chima Eseni has reportedly killed his wife, Ugo Chma during a fight in Abakaliki capital city of Ebonyi state.
The man allegedly injured a policeman neighbour who was trying to separate a fight between him and his wife.
The incident which occurred along Ogbaga Road, Kpirikpiri within the capital city which attracted neighbours, sympathizers and passersby who pronged the place.
It was gathered that the couple had been having irreconcilable issues before the recent fight that took the life of the woman.
An eyewitness said that the fight occurred at midnight when the man allegedly hit the wife and she collapsed.
The deceased was taken to the hospital through the efforts of other neighbours and sympathizers but she passed away in the hospital.

He said that when one of their neighbours who is a policeman got wind of it, he rushed to the couple’s house to separate the fight.
” Eseni who was angry, attacked him and gave him serious injuries”
Meanwhile, the suspect has been arrested by the police over the incident.
The state Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Joshua Ukandu who confirmed his arrest said he would be charged in court after the investigation.
“The man physically assaulted the wife. She was taken to the hospital but she gave up the ghost because of the injuries inflicted on her.
“The man is in our custody,” the PPRO said.
