Man stabs ex-wife to death in Ekiti, kills self

In Ekiti State, a dark cloud of sorrow and grief descended on the town of Igede-Ekiti and its people following the death of a man and his ex wife.

The yet to be identified man was said to have grisly murdered his ex wife on Sunday before proceeding to take his own life.

The man and the woman had two children when they were together, according to report.

The woman was said to have spurned and left the man and travelled out of Igede-Ekiti but she met her end after she returned to the town.

It was gathered that the woman came to Igede-Ekiti for a function and the man invited her to come and see one of the two children that is with him, claiming that the child was sick.

The lady sensing foul play, went with someone.

However on getting to the man’s house, the ex-husband stabbed her multiple times and after ensuring that she was dead, also stabbed himself in the abdomen.

Another account stated it that after killing his ex-wife, the man took a Sniper, a poisonous insecticide.
