Man stabs wife to death over missing handset in Adamawa
A man in Adamawa State has been detained after stabbing his wife to death over a missing phone.
Ibrahim Abubakar, 33, reportedly accused his wife, Hajara Sa’adu, 25, of removing his phone, resulting in an argument in which he allegedly used a knife against the wife.
Adamawa Police Command said the culprit, who belongs in the Sabon Gari area of Girei Local Government Area, stabbed the deceased around the back repeatedly.

It was gathered Tuesday that the incident took place about 4.30 am on Monday, April 8 when he needed his phone but could not find it.
Adamawa Police Public Relations Officer, SP Suleiman Nguroje, who confirmed the incident, said Abubakar, a professional butcher, stabbed his wife and left her in a pool of blood.
Nguroje explained that the suspect was arrested after the father of the deceased reported the matter to the police.
He added that preliminary investigation led to the recovery of the blood-stained knife that the suspect used on his wife.
He said the suspect had actually confessed his act, expressing the regret of killing the mother of their only child.
