Many Dangote Cement workers abducted in Edo
Dare-devil gunmen suspected to be kidnappers have reportedly abducted an unspecified number of workers of Dangote Cement Company Plc, Okpella, Etsako West local government of Edo state.
The incident was said to have occurred on Monday.
It was gathered that the workers were in a staff bus conveying them back to Okpella town after the close of work when they were intercepted and abducted by the gunmen.

An anonymous source in Okpella community who confirmed the incident, disclosed that the gunmen laid ambush on the workers, emerged from the bush and forced the bus to a halt at gunpoint before whisking their victims into the bush.
“Yes, we heard of it, they said they were in a Coaster bus coming to Okpella after work when they were kidnapped by gunmen. But, we don’t know the numbers of the workers that have been kidnapped,” the source added.
As at the time of filing this report, confirmation could not be obtained from police authorities. Calls and text messages to the State Commissioner of Police, CP Finsho Adegboye and the Command’s spokesperson Chidi Nwabuzor’s phones were neither answered nor replied.
