Some aggrieved passengers of Max Air invaded the counter of the airline at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja on Wednesday to protest prolonged delay of their flight.
The incident happened at the domestic wing of the airport causing commotion at the terminal as the passengers accused the airline of delaying their flights for hours without providing reasons.
Some of the passengers destroyed the facilities, making the airline’s officials to flee for fear of being mobbed.
It was learnt that the passengers who booked the airline’s flight to Lagos became furious after the airline announced that the morning flight had been rescheduled.
The flight delay was however said to have been caused by technical issues with the aircraft.
There was no official reaction from the airline as of last night.
Acting spokesperson for FAAN, Mrs. Faithful Hope-Ivbaze, said she was not aware of the development.
