Mbappe Scores Four as Real Madrid End Winless Run with Thrilling Victory Over Olympiacos
Kylian Mbappe produced a sensational performance, scoring four goals as Real Madrid edged out Olympiacos in a Champions League thriller in Athens.
The Greek side took a shock early lead when Francisco Chiquinho fired in a 20-yard strike. But Mbappe quickly turned the game on its head, netting three goals in seven minutes – the second-fastest hat-trick in Champions League history.
Mbappe’s first goal came after a precise pass from Vinicius Jr, which he calmly finished. He then headed in Arda Guler’s cross, before completing his hat-trick by exploiting the offside trap to score from Eduardo Camavinga’s pass.

A goal from Mbappe that found Vinicius was ruled out for offside. Aurelien Tchouameni also hit the bar as Real Madrid, missing five defenders and their first-choice goalkeeper due to injury and illness, continued to dominate.
Olympiacos fought back through a bullet header from substitute Mehdi Taremi, but Mbappe sealed his fourth goal with a close-range finish following another Vinicius Jr assist. Ayoub el Kaabi’s header gave the Greek hosts late hope, but it wasn’t enough to prevent defeat.
The win ended a three-game winless streak for Real Madrid across all competitions and marked their first competitive victory in Athens in ten visits.
Real Madrid now sit fifth in the Champions League standings, three points behind leaders Arsenal, while Olympiacos remain 33rd with just two points.
