Guiness World Records (GWR) claimed that Lionel Messi, an Argentine striker, is ahead of Cristiano Ronaldo, a Portuguese forward.
Messi holds the most world records for a football player, according to the organization that awards records.
In a tweet on Tuesday, Guiness World Record revealed the information.
“For now, Messi is clear of Ronaldo. Lionel Messi has 41 @GWR titles whereas Cristiano Ronaldo has 40,” the instruction tweeted.
It made the tweet to clarify a claim that ranks Ronaldo ahead of Messi in the GWR.
In the tweet, Guiness World Record said Messi has 41 different records, while Ronaldo has 40 records.
Robert Lewandowski has 9, Kylian Mbappe 5, while Neymar Jr has 4 records to his name.
Messi’s new record that puts him ahead from his arch rival, Ronaldo was not mentioned by GWR .
