The UEFA Champions League on Monday released the last-16 draw for the tournament.
Liverpool will be out for revenge when they take on Real Madrid in the Champions League last 16 in a repeat of last season’s final.
The Reds were denied the chance to win a seventh European crown when Vinicius Jr’s strike gave Los Blancos the trophy back in May – and now they will face off again as the draw for the 2022/23 knockout stage was made on Monday.
The first leg will be played on February 15, 2023 with return leg fixed for March 7, 2023.
Elsewhere, Manchester City renew their rivalry with RB Leipzig, while Antonio Conte returns to Italy as Tottenham face AC Milan.
Lionel Messi will be hoping to help his side Paris Saint-Germain defeat Bayern Munich in the knockout stage to advance to the next stage.
As noted by talksports.com, the reality is that one of Paris Saint-Germain or Bayern Munich won’t be reaching the quarter-finals after being drawn together.
Chelsea will battle Borussia Dortmund for the first time in their history.
