Mohbad: Yomi Fabiyi confirms fleeing Nigeria after two attempts to assassinate him

Nollywood actor Yomi Fabiyi has reportedly fled Nigeria following serious allegations of an assassination attempt against him.

This troubling news came to light after the actor missed recent Coroner court proceedings for the late singer Mohbad and failed to lead a planned protest at the Lagos State Assembly on September 30, 2024.

In an Instagram video, Yomi Fabiyi explained that threats against his life prompted his absence, claiming he narrowly escaped an assassination attempt just two days prior.

He had reportedly organized a protest to coincide with the resumption of the coroner’s investigation into Mohbad’s death, a case that has sparked significant public interest and outrage.

However, Yomi Fabiyi emphasized that he had to prioritize his safety over the protest.

His claims have ignited controversy and concern among his fans and followers, as he alleged that he is being targeted due to his efforts to seek justice for Mohbad.

“I escaped assassination two days ago, and they still planned to kill me tonight. If they had succeeded, I would have been buried tomorrow,” he said.

“They will now waste me all because I’m fighting for justice. I didn’t collect money from anybody. I am just doing my own for God. I have to run for my life. I just left Nigeria unplanned, and as it is now, I don’t even know my destination,” he added.
