Morocco joins Nigeria, S’Africa, 13 others for next round of WW Cup
Nigeria, South Africa and Morocco are three African countries that will feature in the round of 16 of the ongoing FIFA Women’s World Cup in New Zealand and Australia.
The 16 nations have been confirmed for the next round following the conclusion of the group stage fixtures on Thursday.
Morocco became the last team to book their spot after a 1-0 win over Colombia, with former champions Germany out of the competition after a 1-1 draw against South Korea.
It is the first time there of Africa’s four representatives will feature in the next round of the competition.
