Reno Omokri and President Bola Tinubu
My Earnest Prayer: Tinubu should rule till 2031, says Reno Omokri
Nigerian socio-political commentator and former presidential aide, Reno Omokri, has publicly declared his full support for President Bola Tinubu and his administration’s Renewed Hope agenda, expressing hope that the president will complete two terms in office.
Omokri made this known via his verified social media platform following a meeting with President Tinubu in Lagos on Saturday.
He stated that the meeting served as an opportunity to reaffirm his “full, unequivocal, and unwavering support” for the president’s vision of transforming Nigeria.

“My prayer is for his Presidency to last for another six years and naturally end on May 29, 2031, after he must have served two terms in office, God sparing his life,” Omokri said.
The former aide to ex-President Goodluck Jonathan has in recent times taken positions that contrast with those of his former political allies, often stirring debate among followers on his evolving political stance.
While the meeting’s full details remain undisclosed, Omokri’s open endorsement of Tinubu marks a significant political statement given his past criticisms of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
President Tinubu, elected in 2023, is currently in the second year of his first term. Though the 2027 election season is still distant, political endorsements are already beginning to shape the emerging landscape.
