My husband is disciplined, didn’t sexually harass Natasha – Akpabio’s wife

Wife of the Senate President, Mrs Ekaette Akpabio, has dismissed allegations of sexual harassment against her husband, Senator Godswill Akpabio, by Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan.

She describe the allegation as false and unfounded, stressing that her husband is a disciplined man.

Addressing reporters on Friday, Mrs. Akpabio said her husband is a principled and cheerful man who treats women with respect.

Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan had claimed that her difficulties in the Senate began after she allegedly turned down unwanted advances from Akpabio.

Reacting, Mrs. Akpabio dismissed the accusations, stating that the two families had shared a cordial relationship long before Senator Natasha’s marriage. She also noted that she was present at their home on December 8, 2023 — the date of the alleged incident.

Mrs. Akpabio reaffirmed his commitment to supporting women in leadership roles, even before his current position as Senate President.

She cautioned against false accusations and revealed plans to pursue legal action regarding the claims.
