NAF announces 2-hour road closure in Abuja
The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has announced a temporary two-hour road closure in parts of Abuja on Saturday to allow for its annual 10-kilometre Walk/Jog Exercise, aimed at boosting the health, fitness, and operational efficiency of its personnel.
The Director of Public Relations and Information, Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, disclosed this in a statement issued on Friday in Abuja.
Ejodame explained that the exercise, scheduled to run from 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m., will take place along the service lane between Karu Bridge and Mogadishu Cantonment Bridge on the Abuja–Nyanya–Keffi expressway.

He said the route would be closed to vehicular traffic for the duration of the exercise.
According to him, the activity highlights the importance of physical fitness in maintaining military effectiveness and mission readiness.
Ejodame assured that adequate security and traffic arrangements had been put in place to ensure the safety of participants and residents, noting that normal movement would resume immediately after the event.
He also thanked the public for their understanding and cooperation as the NAF continues to prioritise the welfare and efficiency of its personnel in carrying out their constitutional responsibilities.
