The All Progressives Congress (APC) support group in Nasarawa State, ‘The Eagle Watch’ rooting for Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu to succeed President Muhammadu Buhari come 2023 says the former Lagos state governor has paid his dues and deserved support from Nigerians.
Addressing a press conference yesterday in Lafia, after its state executive meeting, Chairman of the group Barrister Bashir Jabiru said Tinubu has all the qualifications needed to occupy the presidency and call on all Nigerians to support the APC national leader.
“We wish our national leader Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu well, it is our wish that he recovers quickly and returns back to Nigeria because he has an important role to play in the political movement of the APC.
“We wish him well and quick recovery and on his way coming back to Nigeria, we wish him journey mercies, we wish him sound health and long life to lead his family and to lead Nigeria come 2023,” he said.
He described Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the architect of modern Nigeria “an architect can’t abandon what he has conceived from the beginning, we need him to complete it in 2023.”
He said that Senator Tinubu is a good candidate for 2023 presidency if he will accept to put himself forward before Nigerians, adding that 2023 is pregnant and only Tinubu can deliver that pregnancy.
He said that one of the objectives of the group apart from supporting Senator Tinubu to contest the 2023 presidency is for the general well-being of the party.
“Most especially internal constructive dialogue to promote good governance, political education, leadership recruitment process and good governance,” he said.
He congratulated Nigerian at 61 and Nasarawa State at 25, adding that the unity of the country is paramount.
