Ned Nwoko Rejects Abuse Claims, Releases Medical, Therapy Evidence

Senator Ned Nwoko has released what his team described as a detailed account addressing allegations recently made by his wife, Regina Daniels, dismissing claims of domestic abuse and attributing the dispute to long-standing health and behavioural concerns.

In a statement issued on Sunday by the Senator Ned Nwoko Communication Team, the lawmaker rejected the allegations, describing them as a calculated effort to deflect attention from issues that had been privately addressed months before they entered the public domain.

The statement referenced excerpts from a WhatsApp message dated October 17, as well as medical, therapy and toxicology records, which the team said support the senator’s position.

According to the communication team, independent toxicology reports allegedly confirmed the presence and abuse of multiple substances, findings they claimed validated concerns earlier raised within the family.

The team said professional intervention, including therapy and structured rehabilitation, had been initiated and repeatedly encouraged well before the dispute became public.

“The October message reflects frustration and a final attempt to insist on sustained professional help, either through continued therapy or structured rehabilitation,” the statement said.

It added that the senator’s concerns were centred on declining health, unsafe behaviour, and the well-being of the children, stressing that financial boundaries introduced at the time were intended to prevent the enabling of what it described as a destructive lifestyle, rather than serve as punishment.

The communication team further alleged that Regina Daniels’ decision to go public marked a shift from private intervention to what it termed “public victimhood”, claiming the move was designed to avoid long-term treatment while attracting public sympathy.

“The October 17 message stands as a factual anchor,” the statement said, noting that it predated public pressure, court proceedings, or reputational considerations. According to the team, the message demonstrated concern, boundaries and insistence on treatment, not violence.

The team claimed that medical reports, staff statements, therapy records, and contemporaneous messages support Senator Nwoko’s account and contradict allegations of domestic abuse.

The statement concluded by saying the senator would address all issues raised by Regina Daniels in her videos and writings, including claims relating to age difference and infidelity.
