Network providers ignore FG directive on blocked SIM cards

Some mobile network service providers have ignored a directive of the Federal Government to immediately unblock all barred SIM cards following a protest by some of the affected subscribers.
For instance, the Glo told some of its network users that they must visit its outlets to have their blocked SIM card reactivated.

A chat with one of Glo agents, Oluchi Mbonu, on Wednesday at about 12:06pm confirmed its stand that subscribers must visit its outlets to unbarred their lines. When reminded about the the NCC directive that network providers must immediately reactivate all barred lines, Mbonu insisted that subscribers must visit Glo outlets to have their line reactivated.
