‘Never surrender’ — Donald Trump posts mugshot as he returns to X
Former US President Donald Trump posted his mugshot on X, the site formerly known as Twitter.
On Thursday, Trump became the first former US President to have a mugshot, after being booked in Georgia on charges of plotting to overturn the state’s 2020 election results.
He was also booked on a dozen felony counts.
Trump paid a bail bond of $200,000 for his release from the Fulton County jail as he awaits trial.
Soon after the mugshot was made public by Georgia officials, Trump took to X to share the photo of himself with the words: “Election interference, never surrender”.
The post marks Trump’s first on the platform in more than two years.
