New acting CG of Immigration Wura-Ola resumes today
The newly appointed acting Comptroller General of Nigeria Immigration Service, Adepoju Carol Wura-Ola, is expected to resume work today, Tuesday May 30.
The Federal Government appointed the Deputy Comptroller General of Immigration as acting CG of the service on Friday May 26, 2023.
This is contained in a letter signed by the Secretary of the board, Ja’afaru Ahmed.
It said the appointment would take effect from Tuesday May 30, 2023.
The statement read: “I write to convey the approval of the Chairman of the Board for you to cover duties of the Office of the Comptroller General, Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) as the most senior Deputy Comptroller General (DCG).
“You are enjoined to bring to bear your wealth of experience on the job as well as Consolidate on the ongoing transformation of the Service.”
The former Comptroller-General Isah Jere’s extended tenure expired on the 29th of May, 2023.
