Newly elected federal lawmaker dies at 36
A just elected House of Representatives member, Ismaila Maihanci, is dead.
Maihanci, elected on February 25 to represent Jalingo/Yorro/Zing Federal Constituency of Taraba State, reportedly died in the early hours of Saturday.
He won the election under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
He was aged 36.
Born on October 22 1986, the politician and businessman was a special adviser to Taraba State Governor, Darius Ishaku.
Maihanci had also served as the Secretary of the PDP in Taraba State.
