The newly elected Chairman of Bebeji Local Government Area of Kano State, Alhaji Ali Namadi, is dead.
Namadi died early Tuesday, January 19, 2021, barely three days after winning the LG election along with his 43 colleagues who were candidates of the All Progressives Congress in the Saturday election for the 44 LGAs in the state.
He was reported to have developed high blood pressure around 12.30am on Tuesday and was rushed to Bebeji General Hospital where he died about 10 minutes later.
His campaign director, Ibrahim Tiga, confirmed the development.
“He was hale and hearty on Monday, 18 January, 2021 and even received guests up till 10.30pm that day.
“He developed high blood pressure suddenly at about 12.30am on Tuesday. He was rushed to Bebeji General Hospital and died 10 minutes later.”
