New Corps Marshal of FRSC Shehu Mohammed decorated, takes over
Secretary to the Federal Government, George Akume, has decorated the new Corps Marshal of the Federal Road Safety Corps, Shehu Mohammed, with his new rank.
The short ceremony also signifies the official takeover and assumption of office.
Akume, who represented President Bola Tinubu at the event, charged the new FRSC corps marshal to ensure the safety of lives and properties of road users on Nigerian roads.
The SGF also urged him not to fail in the new responsibility given to him by the Federal Government.
Akume said the position of Corps Marshal is a sensitive responsibility to save lives of road users, hence the new FRSC boss must not fail.
He said the FRSC was created to check speeding and bad road usage usually leads to the loss of lives of road users.
The SGF noted that since the inception of the FRSC, it had put out all efforts to justify its mandates in preventing and saving lives of road users.
The new corps marshal was a former zonal commanding officer in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) before his appointment last week.
