The immediate past head of the transport desk and Production Editor (Business) at the Punch Nigeria Limited, Rasheed Bisiriyu, has emerged an overall winner of the 2019 edition of the annual Toyota Nigeria Limited’s awards for journalists.
Bisiriyu, now editor-in-chief of an online news platform, News Trends, was on Friday October 09 presented with the award along with two other winners, Theodore Opara (Vanguard newspapers) and Mike Ochonma (Businessday), who were declared the first and runner-up respectively.
Managing Director of the TNL, Mr Kunle Ade-Ojo, who presented the awards to the winners at the company’s head office in Lekki, Lagos, commended the journalists for their unique styles of writing.
He said the company’s gesture was in recognition of the invaluable contributions of the journalists to the business of the TNL and the automobile industry generally.
Toyota Nigeria has remained a leader among the auto brands in the country and indeed one of the household names globally.
