Niger coup: ‘Nigeria can eliminate plotters in 24 hours’
Dr. Blessing Agbomhere, a security management expert, believes Nigeria can eliminate Niger coupists within 24 hours.
In a statement issued in Abuja, Agbomhere, a certified expert in security management and strategic operations by the International Institute of Professional Security, expressed shock and disappointment at some Nigerians’ reactions to the planned restoration of civil rule in Niger Republic.
He claimed that Nigeria, through the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS), currently led by President Bola Tinubu, is capable of deradicalizing Niger Republic within 24 hours and restoring President Mohamed Bazoum to office.

Agbomhere expressed concern about the armed forces’ perceived lack of readiness to deal a decisive blow to the military junta in the shortest possible time.
He stated that the prevalent sentiment does not accurately reflect the state of Nigeria’s armed forces.
However, Agbomhere, a member of the Nigerian Institute of Chartered Arbitrators and an advocate of the Rule of Law, stated that dialogue remained the best approach to resolving the political impasse in Niger.
He however said that as a last resort, Nigeria should not shirk its responsibility of maintaining democratic rule in the West African subregion through military action, a role it has played in Liberia, Sao Tome and Principe, Sierra Leone, and Cote D’Ivoire.
