Niger Local Govt chairman dies in auto crash
A fatal auto crash on the Minna-Suleja Road in Niger State has claimed the life of Danlami Abdullahi Saku, the chairman of Katcha Local Government Area.
The accident occurred around 7 pm on Tuesday in the Kwakwuti area as Saku was traveling to Abuja.
Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago expressed his shock and sorrow over the tragic news, with his Chief Press Secretary, Bologi Ibrahim, confirming the incident.

Governor Bago described Saku’s death as heartbreaking, emphasizing that it serves as a reminder of the impermanence of life and the inevitability of death, as all creatures are destined to return to Allah at the appointed time.
The governor extended his condolences to Saku’s family, the people of Katcha Local Government Area, and the entire state, urging them to remain steadfast and find comfort in Allah’s will during this difficult time.
