Minister of Aviation, Sen. Hadi Sirika
Nigeria’s aviation university, the African Aviation and Aerospace University Abuja will commence academic activities in November 2022.
The aviation university, one of the critical items on the aviation road map, has been in the works for about six years.
Briefing journalists on the commencement of the Pan-African university in Abuja, the Minister of Aviation, Sen. Hadi Sirika, said applications for the pioneer students will commence this month and lectures will begin before the year-end.
He said the establishment of the university was borne out of the need to address the critical skills gap within the Nigerian aviation sector which he said is part of the challenges preventing the sector from achieving its full potential.
