The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has successfully carried out an airstrike on a terrorist hideout in Sambisa Forest, Borno State, killing several ISWAP militants and destroying their camp.
The operation follows a recent terrorist ambush along the Damboa axis, which claimed the lives of two soldiers and two Civilian Joint Task Force (JTF) members.
According to NAF spokesman Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, the precision strike was conducted after a series of intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) missions that tracked terrorist movements in the area, particularly following the October 17 attack at Kashomri.

“Persistent ISR coverage over Kashomri and Sambisa revealed suspicious activities and active terrorist structures at Arra, prompting a deliberate, intelligence-driven strike,” Ejodame said.
He added that NAF fighter jets engaged designated targets through coordinated passes, achieving complete destruction of all identified structures. The airstrike significantly degraded the terrorists’ operational capabilities, disrupting their command and logistics networks.
