Nigerian Army Opens DSSC 29/2026 Recruitment Portal for Officer Applications

The Nigerian Army has officially opened its Direct Short Service Commission (DSSC) Course 29/2026 recruitment portal, inviting qualified Nigerians to apply for commission as officers.

The DSSC recruitment exercise is open to both civilians and serving military personnel who possess relevant professional qualifications. Successful applicants will be commissioned into specialised corps of the Nigerian Army, where they will deploy their expertise in support of national defence and security operations.

According to the Army, applications are being accepted into the following corps:

• Nigerian Army Engineers
• Nigerian Army Signals
• Nigerian Army Medical Corps
• Nigerian Army Electrical and Mechanical Engineers (NAEME)
• Nigerian Army Education Corps

The Army stressed that the application process is free of charge and must be completed online. The recruitment portal will be open from January 7 to February 4, 2026.
