Nigerian man arrested in Pakistan with cocaine capsules in stomach
A Nigerian man has been arrested on drug smuggling charges following an operation by the Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) at Lahore International Airport.
The individual, who had arrived in Pakistan from Nigeria via Dubai, was found with 38 capsules containing cocaine concealed within his stomach, according to a report by The Express Tribune.
An ANF spokesperson confirmed that a total of 608 grams of cocaine was recovered from the capsules.

This arrest is part of a growing trend in transnational drug smuggling, with foreign nationals increasingly involved.
Nigerian nationals, in particular, have been frequently implicated, with 10 individuals arrested so far in 2023 and a significant 4.811 kilograms of illegal substances seized. This situation highlights the pressing need for stronger international collaboration.
In the current year alone, law enforcement agencies have conducted seven major operations, resulting in the arrest of eight Nigerians and the seizure of 11.420 kilograms of narcotics.
