Nigerian railway resumes train ticket sale after free ride

The Nigerian Railway Corporation (NRC) says it will today resume sale of train tickets for travellers after the expiration of the Federal Government free train ride on January 4.

Managing Director of the NRC,

Mr Fidet Okhiria, said this on Tuesday in Abuja.

He said that the sale of travel tickets would resume from 6pm on Tuesday for intending passengers.

He advised intending passengers to ensure that they purchased their tickets electronically or physically at the various stations of the corporation to avoid embarrassment.

The FG had declared free train rides for Nigerians from December 24 to January 4 to facilitate easy movement for the yuletide.
