Nigerians angry due to Tinubu deceit – ex-CDD director
According to Jibrin Ibrahim, a political science professor and member of the governing board of the Centre for Democracy and Development (CDD), Nigerians are angry because President Bola Tinubu’s administration is deceiving them.
Ibrahim, a former CDD Director, said this in an interview with Channels TV’s Politics Today.
He claimed that governance in Nigeria was collapsing due to the government’s failure to keep its promises.
He added that Nigerians were starving daily due to the country’s high inflation rate.
Ibrahim stated, “When they removed the fuel subsidy, they said in weeks we’d have CNG buses, and the cost of transport would plummet. They said it 13 months ago. Nigerians have not seen the buses. In literature, this is known as Waiting for Godot. When you are repeatedly told that you will see them and you wait for weeks, months, or even a year and nothing comes, you understand that what you are being told is a story that is not based on reality.

“That is why Nigerians are so upset.” They are extremely angry. They are regularly and systematically deceived by a government that believes it can tell stories while we survive. We refuse to do what is necessary but survive by telling stories that cover up. And Nigerians said, “No, you cannot tell stories.”
The political analyst stated that patients were dying daily because they did not have enough money to purchase medicine.
According to him, Nigerians are starving due to their economic situation, but the government wants them to do so in silence.
