The Nigeria Labour Congress has said it will resume its suspended industrial action in Kaduna State any time soon, accusing the state government of not honouring their last agreement.
Already, the union has directed its state councils and affiliate unions to mobilise for the action.
President of the NLC, Ayuba Wabba, stated this on Tuesday at a press conference after an emergency National Executive Council meeting of the congress in Abuja.
He said the Kaduna State Governor, Nasir el-Rufai, had failed to respect the Memorandum of Understanding brokered between the NLC and the state government by the Federal Government.
He said the congress, after exhausting all avenues for peaceful resolution, including writing letters to President Muhammadu Buhari and Minister of Labour and Employment, Chris Ngige, had decided to resume the strike.
