NNPC, CBN Seal Strategic Partnership to Boost Nigeria’s Economic Stability
The Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Limited and the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) have entered into a strategic partnership aimed at strengthening Nigeria’s economic stability, according to announcements made on Tuesday.
In a social media statement, NNPC Group Chief Executive Officer Bayo Ojulari revealed that the collaboration was formalised during his meeting with CBN Governor Olayemi Cardoso in Abuja.
Ojulari described the engagement as a “strategic confluence of vision”, emphasising that both institutions are committed to the national imperative of economic stabilisation through deliberate partnership.

He noted that NNPC remains driven by the belief that “true progress is collaborative”, adding that the company is focused on creating synergies that enhance operational efficiency across its critical operations—an effort he said is essential for advancing national development.
The Presidency also commented on the meeting, stating that discussions centred on improving institutional synergy, boosting operational efficiency, and supporting national development through stronger economic coordination. It further highlighted NNPC’s commitment to working with key economic stakeholders to reinforce Nigeria’s financial and operational resilience.
The new partnership signals a deepening collaboration between two of the country’s most influential economic institutions in pursuit of enhanced stability, growth, and national progress.
