Nollywood actor, producer among 9 kidnappers killed in Lagos police shoot-out
An up-and-coming Nollywood actor and a producer were among nine persons killed last week in a shoot-out between the police and a group of kidnappers.
The police had laid siege to the kidnappers in the Ladipo auto parts market, where the criminals intended to abduct a wealthy man in the area.
The police said the gang was responsible for a number of abduction for ransom that had taken place in Isolo, Okota, Ilasa and Papa Ajao, among other places.

The actor, based in Port Harcourt, and the producer, identified as Prince Henry Ode, were reportedly involved in the kidnapping activities.
The police fatally shot the suspects during the confrontation.
The incident has sent shockwaves through the Nollywood community, with many expressing disbelief and sadness over the situation.
