NURTW: MC Oluomo gets Ekiti, Ondo councils backing for union president
Two state councils of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) in the South-West have endorsed Alhaji Musiliu Akinsanya, popularly known as MC Oluomo, as National President of the union.
The states are Ondo and Ekiti, according to the latest reports emanating from the two councils.
The Ekiti State Council made its resolution at the emergency meeting held with state officers and branch/zonal chairmen.
The state council, led by Chief Joseph Falope, praised Akinsaya’s leadership qualities, dedication, loyalty, and commitment to public service.
Falope said Akinsanya’s endorsement by the council for the union’s top position was based on his ability to communicate respectfully with people of all ages and backgrounds.
According to him, the Ekiti State council is comfortable with the leadership acumen of Akinsanya.
Falope was quoted in a statement as saying, “In both personal and professional realms, Alhaji Akinsanya is a leader of repute. He communicates with respect to both younger and older people and always stays friendly and cheerful.
“His unwavering commitment to public service and his love and support to everyone devoid of religion or ethnicity is top notch. He is not that person that humiliates and destroys people while in position of power and authority.
“His tolerance, sincerity, loyalty, perseverance and hard work is the best, this adaptability makes him the right candidate for our union.
“Therefore, all the entire officers and members of the union in Ekiti State have resolved to unanimously endorsed him as the next National President of our great union.”
Also, Chairman of Ondo State Council Odudu Ademola led members to endorse the candidacy of Akinsanya for National President of the union at the state council secretariat in Akure.
