OAU final year student crushed to death
Authorities of the Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile-Ife, Osun State are mourning the death of a final year student of Agric Economics, Chisom Nwankwo, who was crushed to death by a commercial motorcyclist.
It was gathered that the accident occurred yesterday on Road 1 in Ile-Ife around 10:50am when the motorcyclist carrying a 200-level student of Psychology, Deborah Okunola, wrongfully overtook a Toyota Corolla car, but got hit by the side mirror, resulting in them falling off.

The commercial motorcyclist carrying Chisom, who was catching a glimpse of the early accident, however, got distracted and lost control of the motorcycle. Consequently a bus coming from behind ran over them.
It was learnt that they were taken to the school medical centre, but they were later referred to the teaching hospital of the university where Chisom was declared dead.
