The Ondo State Police Command has detained two students of Adekunle Ajasin University (AAUA), Akungba-Akoko, for the alleged conspiracy and rape of a fellow female student.
According to a statement issued Monday by the command’s Public Relations Officer, Olayinka Ayanlade, the incident occurred when the 20-year-old victim was invited to the home of her long-time friend, Queen Sodo, a 19-year-old university student.
The police investigation revealed that Sodo served the victim a drug-laced drink, causing her to lose consciousness. While the victim was incapacitated, Sodo allegedly summoned a male co-conspirator to carry out the assault, keeping watch during the act.
