One-chance operators kill Abuja vehicle inspection officer

One Prisca Chikodi, a vehicle Inspection Officer, VIO, has been murdered in Abuja.

The deceased was reportedly killed by kidnappers suspected to be one chance operators.

The Directorate of Road Traffic Services, DRTS spokesman, Kalu Emetu, confirmed the officer’s demise on Wednesday.

Speaking with newsmen, Emetu disclosed that the incident occurred at Area 1 bus stop on June 21, around 6:45 p.m.

He disclosed that Prisca did not know that the occupants of the vehicle she boarded were one chance operators, a situation that led to her end.

“It turned out that the occupants of the vehicle were one chance operators but Prisca didn’t live to explain what actually happened.

“Her body was found on June 22 at Shettima Monguno Street, behind Berger, Utako, around 12:45 am.

“Meanwhile, her looks at death didn’t show any sign that she was stabbed, strangulated or shot but looks like one in a normal sleep.

“Until her death, she was the DRTS personal assistant to the deputy director of human resources”, he said.
