Imo State Police Command has arrested six suspected members of Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) and its armed affiliate, Eastern Security Network (ESN) over the killing of two police officials at Agwa in Oguta Local Government Area.
The suspects, arrested at a hideout in Ubah Agwa area of the council, allegedly shot dead a policeman at a checkpoint about three weeks ago and also killed a female police Inspector, Felicia Nwagbara.
The inspector was the second wife of one of the suspects, Casmir Mgbugba, it was said.

Police spokesman Michael Abattam said that on learning that the hoodlums had returned to the community, the Command’s tactical teams stormed their hideout and arrested them, killing one of them and wounding another who reportedly attempted to escape.
He said that the hoodlums on sighting the police operatives, attempted to escape only to discover that the whole escape routes had been surrounded by police operatives hence.
Items recovered were one Toyota Camry car, a live python, eight locally-made pistols, 18 rounds of live cartridges, one Biafra flag, a pair of police camouflage uniforms belonging to late Inspector Felicia Nwagbara.
