Osimhen shines again as Galatasaray defeat Göztepe 3–1

Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen continued his fine form in front of goal, helping Galatasaray secure a 3–1 win over Göztepe in their Super Lig clash at RAMS Park on Sunday.

The visitors stunned the home crowd early on when Efkan Bekiroğlu opened the scoring in the sixth minute. However, Galatasaray responded swiftly, with Osimhen capitalizing on a defensive lapse to level the score in the 19th minute.

The goal marked Osimhen’s third in the league this season and his third in as many matches for the Yellow and Reds.

Galatasaray took control in the second half, with Gabriel Sara and Mauro Icardi adding their names to the scoresheet to seal the victory.

The result keeps Galatasaray at the summit of the Super Lig table with 28 points, five clear of second-placed Trabzonspor. Göztepe, meanwhile, remain fifth with 16 points, having suffered only their second defeat of the campaign.
