A prominent Islamic group with headquarters in Osun, Jamatu Ta’anwunil Muslimeen, has waded into the crisis between former Governor of the state Rauf Aregbesola and his leader and former Governor of Lagos State, Bola Tinubu.
The Grand Mufty of Iwoland and Ameer of the organization, Sheikh Daud Imran Molaasan urged followers of both Tinubu and Aregbesola to desist from causing further rift between them.
Imran made this call in live video on Facebook where he appealed to Tinubu and Aregbesola to sheath their swords and come together for the sake of innocent people that will be affected if things go wrong.
The group leader, while reminding Tinubu of what had transpired between them in more than 30 years, reminded the former Lagos Governor of his influence on a huge population of Nigerians in the past.
