Osun: NSCDC deploys 3,700 personnel for Adeleke’s inauguration

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Osun State Command, has deployed 3,700 personnel for the inauguration of Osun Governor-elect, Ademola Adeleke.

In readiness for today’s handover, security operatives have been stationed across the borders of the state, mounting barricades to check the movement of motorists.

A statement by the Acting Public Relations Office of the NSCDC in Osun, Adeleke Kehinde, yesterday, stated that the NSCDC and other sister agencies in the state had embarked on a show of force as a way of sending a signal to criminally minded people in the state.

The statement read in part: “There will be an ‘Operation Stop and Search’ within the state at some flashpoints.

“I want to appeal to mothers and fathers at home to warn their wards. It’s not business as usual. We know our job and Osun State deserves better security architecture and we’ve put that in place.”

“The NSCDC, therefore, restated the commitment of the corps to uphold her security architecture urging the people of the state to remain calm, saying his men will be fully on the ground during and after the inauguration to maintain law and order in the state.”
