There was panic on Monday along Lagos-Ibadan Expressway on following an explosion of a truck laden with gas beside the Redeemed Christian Church of God Camp.
Many people around the area scampered for safety as the raging fire affected some other trucks parked at the place.
The incident occured at about noon but emergency response teams from Lagos and Ogun states came swiftly to contain the fire.

“Further investigation revealed the fire actually started from the battery of one of the trucks before escalating to a gas cylinder resulting in a secondary explosion. No loss of life or injury sustained .
“The agency’s LRT is working alongside the Lagos State Fire Service, the Civil Defence, FRSC and Nigeria Police.
“Damping down is ongoing.”
Lagos Coordinator of the National Emergency Management Agency, Ibrahim Farinloye, said the situation was under control.
