Tinubu mourns as paramount king of Ebiraland Ado Ibrahim dies
The paramount king of Ebira in Kogi State, Ohinoyi of Ebiraland, Dr Ado Ibrahim, is dead.
The monarch who was Vice Chairman of Kogi State Traditional Council was said to have passed on in the early hours of Sunday in a private hospital in Abuja.
He was aged 94.
Reports say he will be buried later today in Okene, in line with Islamic tradition.
President Bola Tinubu has condoled with the government and people of Kogi State on the passing of the revered traditional ruler.
In a statement by his spokesman, Ajuri Ngelale, the President said the death of the Ohinoyi is a painful loss.
“The Ohinoyi of Ebiraland was in a class of his own. He was highly respected and admired for his deep insights, wisdom, and sophistication. He had a masterful way of handling issues. He was very knowledgeable and wise,” part of the statement read.
